Sounds Pretty Good Recording

A studio for small, mostly acoustic groups within traveling distance of

Nixa, Missouri

A unique concept: Most people can really tell the difference between cheap electronic equipment, like a $29 microphone from a consumer electronics store, and performance quality electronics, like a Shure SM58 professional microphone which sells for around $100. However, very few people can tell the difference between microphones used by major recording studios that sell for over $1000 and the quality equipment we use We use excellent microphones, preamplifiers, and digital timing equipment, but we don't use the absolute top-of-the line stuff. That saves you money. But, we go a step further and let you (if you want to) do your own editing and mixdown. We'll even help you pick the software to do the mixdown. We also provide a professional electronic piano and a drumset, if you want to use them.

Our recording is done by Steve Samuelson, who is both a professional musician and a former broadcast audio engineer. He has the ear and the technical knowledge to record your group right.
