Sheilah started her musical career in Kansas City at the age of seven playing the accordion and organ. Early in her career she played in major hotels in Kansas City and for the Kansas City Royals Baseball team. At the age of 18, she began traveling with Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians. During her six years with the band she performed as the star performer in such places as Kennedy Center in Washington, D. C., Opera House in Minneapolis, MN, and the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. Sheilah continued her career with Wurlitzer Piano and Organ Company in 1979 as a concert artist and sales trainer. While with the company, she was involved with product development and writing owner’s manuals. Settling in the St. Louis area with husband, Jim, Sheilah worked as Director of Music Education and Advertising at a local music store. More recently, she has performed at Highland Springs Country Club and Twin Oaks Country Club, the Tower Club, University Plaza Hotel, and as a piano accompanist for shows at Silver Dollar City. She currently teaches adults how to play keyboard instruments at Lowrey Music Center at Piano Craft in Springfield, MO.
